Hair Update Feb 2010 and Regime

MARCH 2009

FEBRUARY 2010

Hi All,

Just wanted to let you know how I was getting on, Just relaxed my hair after approx. 12 weeks. I am finding stretching this long difficult but I just canerow my hair in two and go to work like this. I always get comments like 'I love your French plaits' but let just say there is nothing French about them. LOL!

Anyway the pic above is after relaxing and a good trim, no dusting this time, I haven't really trimmed for a good year so I thought it was about time as my ends were looking particularly scraggly.
Thanks to Jamaican Black Castor Oil, my hair is nice and thick and I love it. I have always had thin hair that just lay on my head, no volume whatsoever and I hated it, but WOW!, since I started using JBCO the results are amazing. All my bald patches are gone and my hair is noticibly thicker. I think I can actually start my mission to grow my hair longer properly as it is genuinely looking healthier. I have never seen it like this.

I was on the verge of giving up as I really couldn't see much change happening but then I looked back at my old pics and realised how far I had come, thick hair ... Me!!!... who would have thought. Keeping a Hair Journal/Diary really helps keep me on track and I highly recommend it.

My Current Regime

I only use Clarifying Shampoo once a month and I put a reminder in my diary so that I don't forget or get the dates incorrect.

I wash my hair twice a week
On Wednesday :
Co-Washing with Aussie 3 minute Reconstructor (I tend to lather it on and leave on for 3 minutes)

On Saturday:
PrePoo with Coconut Oil/JBCO and Herbal Essences Hello Hydration
Shampoo with Organix Coconut Shampoo

I stretch my hair for 12 weeks and try to keep notes in my diary so I know the correct dates to relax my hair.

The EdgeStick

I guess many of you who live in the States will have heard of the edgestick. I am quite
intrigued by this product. I heard of it a few years ago when it was obviously still in
developmental stages as it looks completely different now.
We all cringe away from our hotcombs and straighteners and can never quite reach
those close to the scalp hard to reach areas. The Edgestick apparently takes care of that,
with a patented design that allows you to get in close to you edges. The video above
explains it all in more detail and I find it really intriguing.
Especially if you are transitioning or stretching I guess this would make the process a littleeasier

Anyone out there tried this? or had good or bad experiences ... Please share with us!
