In a Rush - For the Super Mum

Super Mum
If like me you are full time mum, also in full time work and a part time student making time for your hair isnt easy.

I would recommend these quick and fast routines:

Wash your hair Wednesdays and Saturdays if you are doing a two day a week routine
Saturdays only, if you can only manage one day a week.
Keeping to a routine is good for your hair and documenting what you do and which products you use in a particular week is a good way to keep track of what works for your hair, also is you are super busy scheduing in time for your hair is always a good idea.

Two Day Regime
Wednesday morning - 20 minutes
Wake up and immediately pre-poo with plastic cap
Should take no longer than 2 minutes then sort the kids out make breakfast etc.

During your shower co - wash, then towel dry and put your moisturising conditioner for about ten minutes while you have your shower, shave etc and then wash out.

Saturdays are a bit more tricky with the kids/pets running around your legs- 30 minutes
Like before pre-poo as soon as you wake up - doesn't matter if you leave it on for a while as it may take some time to get to the shampooing and washing out if you are busy.

Ask your husband/partner or someone to watch the kids etc. or wait till the kids are taking their nap. Do your shampoo. Towel dry the hair ( I use a muslin square as towels can be quite rough on the hair) Apply your deep conditioner (herbal essences +egg etc.) put on a plastic cap or go under a dryer ( I don't tend to use heat on my hair anymore) wait another 15 minutes and wash out.

I tend to put in my leave ins and air dry( if you are at home all day), but a blow dryer may be quicker. I have done this on a Saturday morning before my son woke up and then went out to the shops at 9:00.

I tend to wait until my son is asleep and do most of this stuff at night - not always possible if you are dead tired but sometimes the only way to get this done with enough time. If you cant afford yourself two days a week, try once a week and do this on a Saturday evening when you may not have as many distractions

I once fell asleep in my sons room and woke up at 11:00. I was dog tired but I knew I wouldn't find the time again so I stayed up - did a 15 minute prepoo, shampooed and conditioned for 30 minutes. Took just over an hour.

Like I said before a little bit of vanity and a lot of care. Let us know what your routines are and if you find/make the time to take care of your hair.
