The Best Way to Manage Your Curls

The Best Way to Manage Your Curls
If you have curly hair then you know that the struggle is real. Curly hair can be a blessing and a nightmare depending on how you manage it. You definitely love your curly hair and love the good hair days but there are some days when you just feel that wish you could find a magic solution to manage your curls.
There is nothing magic about taking care of your curly hair. The answer is in consistency. Taking care of your curly hair for 3 or 4 weeks in a row will have a great impact on how your curls look and feel. Here are some easy tips that will help you manage your curls for the best looking hair every single day:

1. Get the right hair cut:
The length of your hair will have a great impact on how your curls look. Long hair will weigh your curls down and make them less prominent. For this reason a lot of people like to keep their curly hair at shoulder length or a little bit longer. If you like to let your curls fly freely then go for a shorter length.

2. Take care of your ends:
Having split ends will make your curls look ugly. Make sure that you take care of your hair from the inside by eating healthy food and taking your supplements. After a few weeks you will see that your curls are healthy and bouncy. Split ends should be cut every 2 months to make sure that your hair looks healthy and live.

3. Try co washing:
This means giving up shampooing altogether and conditioning hair instead. If your hair is dry then using shampoo will remove more of the oils that help to make your curls healthy and bouncy. Instead, you can opt for using only your conditioner to keep your hair healthy and shiny. By time your scalp will get used to the absence of shampoo and the oil production will be controlled. Apply an adequate amount of conditioner at the tips of your hair and massage your way up. Applying too much conditioner on your scalp can cause dandruff.

4. Dry properly:
Instead of rubbing your hair until it dries with a towel, use an old t-shirt to absorb the moisture instead. The cotton t-shirt will absorb the wetness and help dry your hair without adding unnecessary static electricity or creating knots.

5. Don’t brush your hair:
Brushing your hair will remove the curls and will make your hair look frizzy and unmanageable. Instead opt for a wide tooth comb to comb your hair while it is still wet. Always start by combing your hair from the bottom and go up to remove all knots. Once it is dry, don’t try to comb your hair because it will damage your curls.

These tips will help you take care of your curly hair and will keep it in great condition. Follow them for a few weeks and your curly hair will thank you later.
